  • Anyone needing a recent proof of level for studies, work, immigration, citizenship, etc.

  • Compulsory: Listening, Reading, Language Structures; optional: Writing & Speaking.

  • 1h30 – ~2h40 depending on optional sections.

  • Scored on a scale (0 – 699) with mapping to CEFR (e.g., 300–399 ≈ B1).

  • 2 years (results then expire).

  • Recognized internationally; widely used in France for university admissions, visa procedures, and sometimes for immigration purposes.

  • Depends on level achieved; flexible but not graded pass/fail — you get a level.

  • TCF Canada, TCF Québec, TCF IRN (integration/nationality), TCF DAP (for university admission).
